Training Overview
The goal of Services Ready training is to transfer lessons learned during early deployments of Microsoft technologies, by Microsoft Consulting Services consultants working in tandem with Microsoft product teams and early adopters. This field-tested knowledge is documented by Microsoft subject matter experts and transferred to our participating partners during online and instructor- led training sessions.
Training sessions focus on Best Practices and Methodology for a specific offering. In these sessions, we share our lessons learned with our partners. To maximize your return on investment, we have established training prerequisites. Attendees must have a solid understanding of the technologies used in the particular Offering (please see our Training Abstracts for details). Trainers will not have the time to explain the baseline technologies, nor will they have access to demo labs for previewing the bits and pieces. The primary goal of these trainings is to reduce the risk for your upcoming projects by walking your through our best practices.
Our experience shows that the most effective target groups for Services Ready training are Architects, Engagement Managers, Project Managers, and Lead Consultants. There are few, if any, hands-on sessions during training. This means there is NO coding for Developers. Attendees should be familiar with and focused on the architecture and planning aspects of projects.
Combining experienced consultants from Microsoft Consulting Services with Architects, Engagement Managers, Project Managers, and Lead Consultants from our Partners, creates a powerful learning dynamic. In this environment, knowledge transfer is relevant and effective.
To balance training resources with local language requirements (German, French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Mandarin, and Japanese), we use a central worldwide coordination approach. To secure a training position, you need to register at our Partner Learning Center (PLC). To register, you need a Live ID associated with your Partner Organization.
If you already have a Live ID, you can register for this training using the Partner Learning Center link.
If you need to associate your current Live ID with your Partner Organization click Microsoft Partner Network link.
We strongly recommend you use the same email alias for your Live ID as for your email contact in your profile. (Please give our systems five minutes to synch after you associate them for the first time. Note: If an error message page is saved on your machine, you may need to clear your temporary internet cache.)
Please help us by registering for trainings as soon as possible. Address questions to the Services Ready Training Support Team.
Whenever possible, we meet time, location, and language training requests for Partners. Be aware that training resources are limited. Training Consultants are actively involved in ongoing customer projects, and their schedules are booked well in advance. Please allow 3 to 6 months lead time to insure your organization the most flexibility.
We look forward to hosting your training session.
With kind regards from Vienna…
